Powersteering once again.

I just replaced my power steering pump.(2003 cooper s) I think now the high pressure side is leaking. But my fan is still not coming on. Does any one know which fuse it is? I have checked all the fuses but i cant find one blown. My radiator fan comes on but my powersteering fan does not come on. I have checked it by just hooking it up to the battery and it works fine. If the fuse was blown would the radiator fan come on at all? I just hate to drive this with out knowing if the powersteering fan is coming on. Thanks for the help in advance.

This will sound funny....but I've see post saying either it comes on only when the Radiator fan is on HIGH, or it comes on when it is needed!
Since you have already done the hard part....making sure all the parts work....it sounds like it might just have to trust that it will work as designed!

PS fan only comes on as needed. You can check it to make sure it is working though.

-Start the car

-Turn on the A/C.

-Wait 20 seconds.

-If the PS fan comes on after 20 seconds - System should be aok.

Not to de-rail the thread, but should the power steering fan be relatively loud?

When idling, what I believe to be the power steering fan kicks on and I can hear it inside the cabin over the engine and exhaust noise. Sounds just like an extra hum that kicks on for 30 seconds or a minute or so, and kicks back off.
