Loud buzzing sound from power door locks

I just bought my cooper 2 weeks ago and for some odd reason, whenever i press the unlock button on my key before i drive my car i get an annoying buzzing sound for a few seconds after the doors have been unlocked. This only occurs if i havent driven my car for a few hours. is this normal? if i press the lock then unlock after the initial unlocking the buzzing sound is absent. anyone experiencing a similar problem?

There are a few threads on this on the forum but, the short answer that I can find is that the noise you are hearing is the fuel pump. My 09 MCS does it and my 04 VW does it.
