Is LHD and A/C a possibility in a classic?

I've been driving an '07MCS for almost a year and am intrigued by the classic Mini. BUT, I'm too old to deal with RHD and am just too accustomed to A/C. I've seen some sort of reference which seemed to indicate the dashboard on the classic would not support A/C when it was LHD.

Yeah, I know A/C will probably diminish the driving fun of one of these little beasties, but ...

My Classic is LHD and has A/C. It was made for the Japanese market in the mid 80's, and they are not that rare. The few times that I've used the A/C, it really didn't draw that much power from the engine, maybe because the passenger compartment is so compact, things cool off pretty quickly.

RHD really isn't that big of a deal, it's really easy to get used to, plus parallel parking is a snap!

who needs A/C, just roll down the windows and drive faster

Thanks, everyone. I've seen a bunch of A/C models and heard that the ones made for the Japan market were all A/C, but assumed they must have been RHD.

I'll keep looking

qskapunk ... lol, on driving faster ... this coming from someone in a Chicago suburb. I've driven in that traffic and faster is rarely an option. I'm six hours due south in Louisville and faster is occasionally an option, but we don't get the breezes you see in the windy city.
