Say hello to our Corvette friends

I recently recieved a email from Brad, one of the founder of DigitalCorvettes.com, turns out his club will be up at the Dragon the same time as us and staying at the Microtel. Since he and his wife are huge MINI fans he inquired about maybe visiting us to say Hi. I suggested he might want to stop by during the Car Show on Friday. So let's make sure we give them a warm MINI welcome. Brad did say they have a small group and would be lucky to get 10 -20 corvettes this year.

I'm at the Microtel too since the Fontana was full. Seeing the Corvettes there will be great. I have a couple of Corvette friends and they really like Mini's too. Seems to be a good match.

Please play nice with the fiberglass junkies. Years ago I owned a 63 Corvette 327 Convertible with a 4 speed Hurst. I always thought that was the most fun car I ever drove, until this past November when I started driving my lil guy. It's been a long time, but if memory serves me correct, very different experience, but I think the lil guy's more fun to drive. But then again I was very special on campus driving my red Vette, it seemed to have opened a variety of doors that perhaps I would have never experienced without it's assistance. I wish I can join you in the play group, I'm sure you'll have lots of fun.

When I first got my MINI I autocrossed several times at a monthly event with the local corvette club. I gotta say they were all super nice to me and made me and my MINI feel welcome

Not to worry y'all, You probably won't even run into any of the Vettes. I got stuck behind a group of them a few years back, but it was raining so it didn't matter anyway. And as for the pull offs, don't forget to be polite to the bikers and pull off for them. I've bad several bikers tell me that the MINI crowd is one of the best groups for doing this.

+1 for manners. lord knows how frustrating it can be when your behind "that guy" (or gal). sometimes ya just gotta chill and try to enjoy the scenery.

tim, you've had bikers come up on you? really?

looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Well, you know, I'm getting older and that means my reflexes aren't what they used to be. Either that or I'm just dead sexy!!!
