How to reset the oil change countdown in 08 cooper s?

Sorry if this is redundant, but my searches only found 1st gen procedures.

I have received my first indicated oil change warning at 20K miles (I have changed oil 3 times myself so far) and don't want to spend 4 hours at the dealer for a 30min job I can do myself, but I don't know how to reset the countdown properly.

As I understand it, the only thing done by the dealer for this interval is the oil change, and maybe fluid checks? Is this correct, or should I take it in anyway? I would prefer to save the hassle and change the oil and do the reset myself if I can. So, how is it done?

Thanks

Search over at mini2.com for "reset obc on r56" and see the first result.

For the first service, they do the oil change, air filter, cabin filter, top off the rest of the fluids, if needed replace wiper blades, brake pads, and give the car a good look over. It is fairly extensive. I would recommend taking advantage of it.

Another reason to do it, is to properly document that the oil was changed for warranty purposes. Anyone can tell the dealer MA that they changed the oil themselves, but they may not believe it if the motor blows up.
