O8 Mini Amp Upgrade Problems - Any Workarounds?

I upgraded my amp and speakers im my O8 MCS, now the dealer is saying they cant upgrade the car'\s computer program because it hangs up when looking for the amp. Anyone heard of this problem or know of a fix. putting in connectors to install the old amp will be a big hassle at this point.

I'm having window problems and they say the program updates are needed for a permanent fix.

I have a tough time believing they cant upgrade the software with the Hi-Fi amp missing. What the F**ks with that?

Thanks
JM

This has been discussed in many threads. The OEM amp MUST stay in the car for the dealer to be able to do compute upgrades or reprogramming.

It sounds like you cut off the OEM amp connector. If this is the case your are screwed. You will have to replace that connector and put hook the OEM amp back up before the dealer can do computer upgrades.

EDIT: For got to mention this car is completely computer controlled and if any of the programmable items are missing then the software upgrade hangs up just as it would on the computer you are using to access the internet with.

Good Luck!
