Is your manual gearshift slightly tilted to the right?
EDIT: I am a complete moron, apparently! I didn't take into account the gearshift is spring-loaded. Still, I feel like 3 and 4 should be straight up the middle instead of to the side, but I'm sure I'll get used to extra stretch for 5 and 6.

Well, my shift is tilted to the right. If you compare where it sits in first and fifth, you can see the difference. I decided it was because it was designed for the Brits and they wanted the shift lever to hug their leg..
In any case, I don't like it, so I used a portapower with a pulling yoke on it and used chains instead of bolts on either side of the ram and just bent it until it pleased me. Don't forget to raise the console out of the way so you don't damage the shift boot if you try this.
