Now and then, a very unusual MINI (not that they're all the same) is spotted. Here's one that I encountered at the dealer (Ralph Schomp MINI, Littleton, CO). It is apparently privately owned -- not owned by a limo company as you might expect. This hot-pink MINI has a Barbie doll theme throughout the interior, including several Barbie's behind glass. This stretch limo features suicide rear doors (from an R53), a tandem axle (brakes on the leading wheels only) and an exposed hot tub! It belongs to someone living in the Grand Junction area and was left at the dealer for some repair work. The limo manufacturer is Limelite Coach Works (www.limelitelimo.com), where several other stretched MINIs (including a pink one for sale) can be viewed. More photos here.

I also noticed one of the local Red Bull MINIs in the parking lot.

If you go to the Limo website, the MINI stretch is under "exotic". There is one for sale on the website; it won't tear-up the road, it has the original MINI motor in it - can you imagine using the 1.6 ltr to pull that weight?
