R50/53 euro plate mount
>> For the US cars, just unscrew the US plate mount. The two mounting holes in the hatch door ARE the euro plate screw holes.
i realized that..but i have to drill two holes on the plate to screw it on. i also know one can buy a euro frame for it. of all the pics i see of the euro minis with european plates without the license frame, i can't see the screws at all. 3m tape? would it come off after a few rain or car wash?

In Italy the frame is screwed on (in the standard mounting location) and the plate is then riveted to the frame, Italian law requires a "permanent" mounting of plates to prevent theft. BMW/Dealer has gotten good about putting caps over the rivets that match the color of the plate. Hope this helps answer your question.
