( ... no, not Dennis Moore's horse ...)

Just days after British Airways retired it fleet of Concords, the Museum Of Flight at Boeing Field (King County Airport) will take delivery of a BA Concord this afternoon. Arrival is set for 3 pm(-ish) ... as has been discussed on our local Yahoo Group, there Will be a crowd and parking will be at a premium (and, no, the Museum cannot set aside any special parking for us to properly welcome another piece of Euro-Brit hardware to Seattle ...). The last time (and only other time ) a Concord came to Seattle, the area was packed, even stopping trafic on I-5 so everyone could get a look at this over-sized jet fighter - so come early if you want to see her in flight ...

The MoF , btw, and the Intrepid Museum in NYC are the only North American groups to get Concords for their collections (the Smithsonian got that Air France one a couple years ago, too!)

 

I’ve been to the museum at the Boeing complex and it’s a great place to go if you’re in to aviation and the history of it. It’s good to see they will get an awesome piece of history to display.
