It will be interesting to see what it finally goes for. Mini Coopers as salvage still go for quite a bit of $$$. LKQ is a national chain of auto recyclers. I am sure they have quite a bit invested in that engine, (along with the remainder of whats left of the car)

 

I bought an 03 C long block dresssed with everything except starter, alternator and water pump, w/ 6k miles from LKQ last week for $2k outright. I think this was a fair price given there were no other motors available in LA at the time.
My guess is that a MCS with tranny and more or less no miles out to be worth close to $4K. :smile:
