Euro Loveland GTG - Saturday, November 14th, 2009: 11-14-2009

"...Headed to NoCo to bring out the college antendees..."

The ninth large all-euro GTG of 2009 will be on Saturday, November 14th, 2009 @ 11:00am.

Loveland Centerra Shopping Center
[I-25 and HY-34]

Directions:
I-25 to HY-34
Hy-34 east to Centerra Parkway
Centerra Parkway north to Sky Pond Road
Sky Pond Road west, through the round-a-bout and into west lots

Park central of the lot... There will be a ton of space available, we should not have a problem at all.

Tentative Schedule:
* meet up @ 11:00am
* converse / grab a QUICK lunch / mingle till ~12:30pm or so
* hold drivers meeting for drive @ 12:45pm
* leave for drive @ ~1:00pm
* Expect a drive into the foothills and into some higher elevation cities; weather / climate / conditions can change drastically.

PLEASE come with a positive attitude; many are meeting each other for the first time.
We don't anyone to crash the fun in the first part of the year... that's never good!

NOTE There will be no reservations set; this will be a "free-for-all" event.

NOTE: Also, there will be a few OBDII VAG-COMs and other scanners being brought if you need a scan. Just ask and we'd be glad to help fellow owners out.

Questions, concerns, comments? Feel free to IM me!
People usually arrive and meet and greet; enjoying the weather and good company.
Please post if your going; I'll do my best to keep track and update a list as it formulates.

[Public Service Annoucement]

PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS; Thanks!

* I want to be very crystal clear on this: Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT burnout, speed, or create careless driving acts in your vehicles while in area.
To avoid getting the boot please ABSOLUTELY NO burnouts, speeding, or careless acts in our vehicles; clear?

WARNING: If you do something STUPID in your vehicle on the premises of the area, I WILL have NO problem grabbing your license plate, VIN, your name, any and all personal physical and vehicle description and any other valid info and give it to the authorities so that you are properly processed for fines / tickets / etc.

[/end PSA]

Anyone from South of Denver want to do a caravan together up north? We can always meet at a Park N Ride somewhere.... I will ask my little brother to come along since he just got his R56 two months ago.

thanks,
Michael.

I have his contact information from last year's Yalla Yalla. I can probably dig it up if you need it.
As for this GTG, I will be in CS for a swim meet. Not mine, my daughters. Just in case any of you were concerned.

This is a Euro event right, not just Mini? Maybe I can talk the wife into bringing the Ghia Convertible. I'll bring my r55 as requested.

Correct; it's an all euro event. Anything east of the Atlantic is fair game!

Sweet John! It would be great to see you both... and the Ghia. Sounded like you had fun at SEMA.

Yea, this is an All-Euro event. If it's Euro, it is welcome.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see the Ghia!:

Richard, don't get too excited. She still needs some work... This picture was from a while ago. The front end has been lowered about an inch since then. I'll have to get it aligned before my wife drives it up from Castle Rock. I'll work on getting that done this week.

JohnJohn are you still coming up if the weather is bad? Looking at your blog, I like the goHeroHD, its Video is way better than the standard.

Yeah we'll still be there. I mean as long as we don't get a huge amount of snow. I don't belive the forecasts around here.

They are calling for rain and snow Thursday afternoon, then both Friday and Saturday. Two - three days of slightly crappy weather never happens in Colorado. Two days of heavy snow sure.

I think it blows out Friday night and Saturday is just a little cooler but the Sun is out.

We'll see

PS I'll bring the GoProHD with me on Saturday.

Charged batteries are key, and a fast SD card. I tested mine on the way back from Vegas last weekend.

I have been trying to post some video here, but they are HUGE files.

Hmmmm, how far south are you? We're right by DIA but don't mind backtracking a little bit for a caravan.

Don, I have the same one as you. It comes with two alk AAA bats. Get some of the Lithium AAA, and a 2Gb high speed SD card. The standard has a limit of 2 Gb still. They have been promising a 4 Gb firmware update for more than a year and nothing yet. Once you have that, hook it up to the mount, suction cup it to a spot on the MINI and toggle thru the menu to Video mode and hit the shutter. it is that easy.

If you have the wide angle, the patch is out, the other shows Nov 15th 2009. They were preaching about this patch at SEMA, so I hope, for you guys sake, it comes out.

I am using a 32gb 10speed rated card. Super fast moving video files to the MacBookPro. GREAT card.
