got my production number from the dealer last week and was checking the status from the website. as of today, my mini is readied for production. i was just wondering if the site'd update the location of the mini as it moves through production, i.e. body, painting, dash put in etc. or it is just in "production" until it moves on to the next stage which could be weeks away.

 

I dunno for sure but i've heard a lot that the website is actually slower than real life. But to get the details you are looking for you need to call 1800 ASK MINI. My mini has been ON ORDER for almost a month now...this tuesday will be one month.

I was driving around in my MINI 3 weeks ago, and the Owner's Lounge still had me travelling across the ocean.

It's kind of sad, considering how easy it would be for a good programmer to make the web site update in real time.
