I was wondering if it would be possible to create a little circuit board that can be wired into the dome light of a vehicle (non MINI) to create the "soft start" effect.
I searched and the best i could come up with was this:

I guess it would work right? but it seems a bit of overkill.

I am imagining a tiny circuit board similar to the one I bought for the 'auto on sport button' with just a few little resistors/capacitors/etc soldered onto it that I could splice into the wires leading to the dome light.
anyone point me in the right direction anyways?
