New 2010 Mayfair Package

Well im new to this forum, but in my wait for my new mini I have come to read it quite often.

Well a little about me is that im in the Army overseas in Europe but im heading back stateside soon(actually soon as the car is built so I can ship it at the governments expense), so before I leave I decided to bring a souvenir :D

Well when I bought the car I didnt know anything about minis or any of that, and I ordered the Mayfair package on accident having no idea what it was (the dealer knew what was included with it, but wasnt very specific as in pics or something).

Should have the car in a week or two though. Should be built next week, and a week to clear customs.

Here are the specifics of the vehicle:
Cooper S Hard Top - Mayfair Package
Bluetooth/USB
Armrest
Comfort Access System
Dual Panaoramic Sunroof
Heated Seats/Mirrors/Washers
Navi System
Park Distance Control (I suck at parking)
Rain Sensors/Auto Headlights
Rear Fog Lamp
Sport Suspension Package
Auto Climate Control

So I pretty much got most the bells and whistles I believe. Will have pics soon I get it

Well then I guess you'll be the only MINI owner(or few) here in the states with a MINI 50 Mayfair edition.

Yep, taking a car back is not a big deal at all. As long as it has US specifications either natural or using a conversion kit (mph/speed governor/etc) or I believe also if considered an antique or classic car you are able to bring it back without converting it. Im not 100% about how the classic car deal works though, havent known anyone to do it.

But my car was ordered with us specifications already, so I will only have to maybe give a wash before dropping it off in the shipping yard (must be clean) and I should be good to go.

Sure can. And if its a department of defense or military job you get free vehicle shipping through the government. I know me being a single soldier I am allowed to ship only 1 vehicle free. But if you married its like 2 or 3. Not a bad deal. And usually you get discounts/taxfree new vehicle purchases. But for those older classic cars i rarely see them here (Germany). Doesnt seem like they keep older cars like we do in the states. So you may not benefit much from it
