R56 hit a curb now dsc light comes on at hwy speeds?
hit a curb now dsc light comes on at hwy speeds?
so i ran into a curb
got out checked, everything looks like its still in one piece, no violent shaking of the steering wheel.
so i start to drive home and as soon as i got up to hwy speed the dsc light started flashing and it was robbing me of power like it thought a wheel was spinning.
what gives? did i break a sensor? what would cause the dsc to think i was spinning a tire? does the tpms sensor tell the computer how fast the wheel is spinning or are there other sensors?
there is also a subtle rhythmic vibration whilst driving a hwy speeds also, its not THAT bad... kinda like rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrRRRrrrrrrrrrrrr
it tracks pretty straight, but i think i got a little bit of mushrooming going on on that side now from what i felt after popping the hood.
I felt the shape of steering arms and it feels like the one on the other side (those things are beefy) so i dont think im too far outta whack.
I'm gunna take it in on Sat for its routine service at the dealer and see if they can do anything for me: read the code or something, tell me if i effed up the driveline...if i have to i will then take it to an alighnment shop to get it looked at.

I assume from your writeup that you hit the curb with one of your front tires? If so, you may have damaged one of the control arms. Something has been whacked if you are now getting a vibration at highway speeds. Getting to the dealer is a good idea.
