I'm thinking about doing a long-distance driving trip for my 30th birthday and was wondering what the deal is with having another dealership, other than my 'home' dealership, respect my MINI service warranty. Is the service warranty universal to all MINI dealerships? I have about 2500 miles left before my service counter runs down to zero and I would be planning to bolt out of town before that. Would any MINI dealership do the planned inspection service? I think I'm due for Inspection II as I am right around 49k and I figure I could just plan ahead and get the service done at a dealership while I'm out on the road. Any information?

 

Shouldn't be a problem, but you do need to check and see if the wait is long for getting in for service and some dealers won't offer a loaner to folks that didn't buy the car there.

 

You can bring your MINI to any authorized dealer in the country for warranty service.
