Time to buy a new car (new to me)

Hey everyone

I am going to be in the market for a new vehicle soon. Right now I live in Germany and have a 2006 MCS. Absolutely love the car. I have had some work on it, 19% pulley, John Cooper ECU mapping JCW front stabilizer and JCW air intake, ( had the K&N typhoon but it didn't pass German inspection). I liked the K&N system a lot more but what can you?
I am moving back to the states and here is my issue. Thing is I love the Supercharged motor and the Nav system , but I like the options available on the New Mini S JCW. I booked one out in mellow yellow with pretty much everything, brakes, aero kit which looks great, again everything. But the thing is SC vs. Turbo. I know If I went with the SC model the potential to mod it is much greater than the turbo or am I missing something.
What is the potential for the turbo model? Thought about trying to find a used GP, but then I lose the nav system and I do not care for the color, but get the supercharger.

How does the new JCW Mini perform/drive. Does it still have that great exhaust note? Any turbo sound?
I guess the main thing i am looking for is will I lose that great sound and upgradablity with the new JCW? Or do i necessarily have to get the JCW version to get the same/improved performance, again going back to the potential for modding.

I know I asked an open ended question, but some advice/input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
