EBC Green Brake Pads for Daily Use...?

Anyone running EBC Green brake pads on their daily driver? I currently have a set on my car and I am wondering about their wear pattern and life expectancy. The brake pads were installed on the car before I purchased it and were brand new upon purchase of the vehicle. Thanks in advance for responses.

The length they last is mostly a function of how you drive. I blew through my OEM fronts wich were around %75 when I bought the car in about 1.5 years, which was about 8k miles..

These are "daily driver" pads, pretty good. Definately not track pads.

We have several customers running EBC pads. They work fine for daily driver cars.

I am considering replacing the OE pads with Green Stuff and am curious as to the dust output. How do they compare to the tiresome OE dust?

The OE pads would be 100% dusting range --- The EBC Greens would be 20%.
I love the green Pads as a daily driver with very little dusting. I have red calipers, so I painted the backs of the pads RED!!!

I had them on my 02 MCS for 1.5 years very low dusting and worked very well, daily driver and saw no reason to change them, hope that helps good luck. If you are looking for the lowest in dust carbon ceramics are supposed to be the way to go, I'm going to try a set next.

I also have EBC Greens on front and rear have did not notice ANY reduction in brake dust. I did notice that Green Stuff dust has burned into the wheel finish that cannot be cleaned off, something the OEM pads did not do. The performance is at least as good as the OEM pads, if not better.

Hoo boy. Differences in results. Thanks for the quick responses, all y'all. I don't like the idea of etching the wheels which raises the question of dust migrating to the body and affecting the paint. Guess I'll have to do a little more research.

Best OEM feeling and acting everyday driving pad with "NO" dust and "NO" noise and "NO" chewing up of the BMW soft rotors have been the PBR/Axxis Deluxe. They do have the slots for the OEM wear indicators. And they wear a long time. Not a race pad.

If you must have a pad with a brand name that is talked about on this forum a lot, then these pads are not for you.

I've had my Green Stuff's for nearly 40k (4 yrs) and they work great. They do reduce the brake dust, but if you have white wheels, it really is not that much of a reduction. I am kinda OCD about the dust though, so you may be better off with them.
Good luck!!

Thank you for all your responses. They have been educational and supportive. I feel better now. They respond well under hard braking and I have not noted any fading. They still have about 90-95% of life left in them. Unfortunately, the guy that had the car before me didn't prep the rotors properly, so I had to have that done. No big deal.
