So I saw and sat in a pair of OTTO-R seats last week. They look killer and are very comfortable. Longevity might be a concern, but at around $550, for the pair you can buy 4 sets for the price of one set of Recaros. So does anyone have them or know of them? Thanks for any info. Here is a pic:

save up for some quality seats...last thing u want to cheap out on is the thing your sitting in!...
btw you can find some evo 9 recaros on ebay for around 900ish, or even some jdm integra/civic type r recaros too, both look good and there Recaros so you cant get much better!

 

I agree, there are a few things you don't want to cheap out on. Brakes, Tires and Seats! God forbid you get in an accident keep in mind they are what keeps you in the car. Seats are much more advanced than most people understand, besides losing the side airbags you lose a lot of other safety features. For example if the roof ever collapses in a roll-over the seat is designed to collapse backwards to save the passengers. They also have very beefy frames which secure them to the car's substructure.

The reason you save a lot of weight with some seats is because they simply skimp out on the framing reinforcements.
