Just ordered a tenzo 18x8 with a 225x40x18 tire, stock height, R56. Will I have rubbing issues? THX

 

Normally I'd ask that question before ordering them, but what do I know.

 

Hi flewdcoop, i suspect yes for the rubbing issue. 225/35x17 on 8" wheels is pretty damn tight. The 18" with a 225/40 is about 3cm taller than my kinda tight 215/40x17s. I get a touch of rubbing noise when bashing through big dips,etc.

 

205/40, 215/35 - are a bit easier sizes to fit.

way more space on R56 though, you did not mention offset but if any rub is on inside you can get 5mm spacers and if rub is on outside get lowering springs.

 

Which Tenzos did you get?

I couldn't tell you about clearance at the stock height, but I had to use 15mm spacers when I lowered it with my Tenzos.

 

I bought the Tenspec, machined with black. Never saw them on other mini's so I gambled a little. Changed tire order to 215x40x18 based on comments. Thanks.'ll post some photos after I get'em installed. My MCS is pepper white/black lid.
