I am installing all new gauges in the mini (vtec project) and was going to install a custom fuel cell. Budget requires that I maintain the stock tank for now.

What is the factory fuel level sender ohm range?

What fuel gauge do I need to make this read correctly? I am using autometer carbon series.

i'm going thru a similar process, I am adding a different Smiths fuel gauge to my setup and I may have to do some calibrating to get it to work - I haven't tried it yet

this might be a good question for the Mini Mania board, there are a few electrical gurus that frequently post over there that might be a able to help. dklawson being the biggest guru who coincidently wrote most of the links that I posted

 

it looks like the range should be 0 to 270 ohms
and you should be able to use:

you just need to adjust the range

get a programmable one, it will work with your stock sender....no guess work.
