Can anyone comment on the standard vs all season tires (17" bullet rims - not sure what brand/size comes on them). I'd like to know if the all seasons are good in the winter. If not, I'll just get the oem tires and buy snows (I live in the northeast). But if the oem tires are bad and the all seasons are decent, I'll just buy performance summer tires.

I'd seriously consider upgrading to the HIFI stereo with the cabrio, unless you are going to upgrade your sound yourself. I find that in convertibles , once the top goes down, the sound goes too unless you have a kickin' stereo.

You might think about the 2 inexpensive options @ $100 ea. White turn signal lens (next to impossible to change later) and rear fog lights (fills out the row of toggle switches--worth it even if you never turn them on). I got the rear fogs and wish I had gotten the white turn signal lens, the back is OK but don't like the "egg yolks" in the front, this would be expensive to change with the xenon lights. Great build, post photos when you get it.

Get the rear fogs and clear turn lenses for sure. Really adds a lot to the car. I picked my mini off the lot, so it had rear fogs but no clear lenses. I ended up retrofiting the clear lenses on my S, as well as the rooster red color line and the chrome line interior (another option I would HIGHLY recommend, it adds a lot of class and flare to the interior). Everything else looks good!

If you are getting English Oak interior I recommend the wood steering wheel as well. It includes a bit of wood on the shifter as well. I have this setup and I think that the wood wheel makes the interior look fantastic.

I also agree on the white turns and the rear fog. Both are cheap to add in and you'll regret it later.

Good pick on the mudflaps - here in NH in the snow and occasional dirt road they help keep the car cleaner. Plus i think that they look good - like some kind of ground effect.

I love those black star bullet wheels too.

Just my 2 cents. Good luck with the purchase!

Small correction:
on the R57 convertible, there is one toggle that operates both the front and rear fog lights (these were doubled up to make room for the "all windows up/down" switch). You only need to add front fogs or rear fogs to populate the 5 toggles.
