Changing Harmon Kardon 'mode' or EQ...

I purchased a used 2005 MCS about a month ago and have read that there are different 'modes' for the Harmon Kardon system. I'm assuming that these are different EQ presets.

Can someone please explain to me how I can change the 'mode' or preset EQ on the stereo system. Thanks in advance!

Press the "music" button - the one that accesses bass, treble, balance, etc. If you have the H/K upgrade, there will be an "HK MODE" setting at the end, that cycles between the different options - MINI, ELECTRONIC, SPATIAL, FESTIVAL, INSTRUMENTAL (not necessarily in that order!).
For some options, you can also press a button on the right to turn DRIVER focus on/off (it changes where the sound seems to come from, when on, to balance it for the driver).

Thanks for the reply. I have a screen that comes up as MINI H/K. Once I get to that screen I'm assuming that I would just turn the volume **** to change the 'mode'/EQ settings. Is this right? I do also have the DRIVER on/off setting, so I'm assuming I have the upgrade.

Correct on both accounts. It took me a little while to figure out that you have to turn the dial to change the EQ.

Here is a page I've found useful in explaining what the different H/K modes do.

Thank you all for your responses! I really love this board and the responsiveness of the members here. I have finally figured everything out. Now I just need to find a setting to listen to my Radiohead collection without blowing the speakers.
