Body Shops - Pasadena/Sierra Madre/Monrovia
Body Shops - Pasadena/Sierra Madre/Monrovia
Hi,
This question was asked once in 2003, but never answered
My Mini recently was introduced to the bottom corner of a BMW X5 door (pics attached).
I have been running around getting estimates from various body shops. Estimates are varying widely, ranging from $900 to $2300. Also, repair times vary from a few days to 10 days.
The low-end estimate came from Classic Collision, who has shops in Pasadena (where I live) and Silverlake (where I work). I have had insurance work done there in the past and had no complaints, but it admittedly was on a leased Volvo that I didn't care much about.
The high estimate came from Marco's in Pasadena on Fair Oaks. I went to Marco's based on recommendations on various BMW forums.
If I go to Marco's, I'd get insurance involved, but insurance wouldn't be involved if I went Classic.
Before I make a decision, I want to ask if anyone has had good experience with body shops between, say, Monrovia and Glendale. I don't mind driving a little further if I know it's quality work at a decent price.
Also, take a look at the 3 pics below (Octane Guy?). Does that look like a $900 job or a $2300 job?
Thanks!
