Clear Bra issues?

I had a clear bra installed by Ace Automotive in December, the second day I had the car. He seemed to do a pretty good job, but there were some interesting ..... umm ..... blemishes which he said were wrinkles in the adhesive that show up much more with darker colors. He suggested they would go away, but they have not. I actually think it might be due to the unusually high hood temps from the turbocharger.

I am sure lots of folks have had clear bras put on, and I was wondering if anyone else had issues with the adhesive looking weird. It is only in a few spots, and looks like bad orange peel whe you are close enough to notice.

I am trying to decide if I should go back to Ben and ask him to re-do the hood. The rest looks pretty good.

fyi, I have the same issues with a few spots showing a wrinkle. My clear-bra was put on by an independent installer. It seems to be related to bonnet heat.

He had done a lot of Jeep and BMW installs. After 2 years the clear-bra looks great other than the wrinkles you can see when viewing at certain angles.

I chose to ignore it. I may change it at the 3 year mark or I may not.

On our black Pilot when Ben finished I thought - Dude it looks like a new born Benjamin Button. I guess he saw my expression and he promised that after a few days in the hot sun it would shrink, dry out and otherwise smooth out.
Sure enough after about a week it was wrinkle free. There are still areas that come and go but these are over the sharp points where the film is stretched and depend on how hot the car gets from the sun.
I asked Ben about the MINI and he said he had done quite a few and they are very hard with the swoopy parts to get a good stretch of the film.
