OK, so this may be a dumb question, but did the Cabrio get the new engine when every other Mini did? I assume yes, but I'm not sure. Oh, and what year did that happen where they switched the engine in the Cabrio? What is the first year you could get a Cabrio with the new engine?

 

The Cabrio didn't switch over to the 2nd gen MINI platform/engine until the current model year, 2009.

 

That's correct, and they also say that our 09 Convertible have the Cold Start fix already installed at the factory.
