well im in the process of putting in some bucket seats in my cooper, but i need to find some rails and sliders that will fit...anyone know who makes a set for driver and passenger?

also for the passenger seat will i need to modify it so it has the sensor for the airbag in it?

Brey Krause makes sliders for the Mini. I have both driver and passenger sides and they work just fine.
Re: the passenger seat, are you asking about the weight sensor? If so, you must remove it from the OEM seat and install in the new seat or suffer a dash warning light. I have not heard of anyone getting around these two options. Also, I know of no-one else who has put the OEM sensor in a race seat other than me, but they might not have posted on NAM if they did.

Recaro makes some. This is the only site that I could find quickly.

There is also this.

Which links back to this. It includes info on the airbag situ.

There are also these as mentioned above.

They're out there. Just depends on what seat you are working with.
Hope this helps.

PGT Put them into the EVO seats he had. Not really 'racing' seats but same principle.

You mean PGT put the weight sensor in the EVO passenger seat? I'd like to hear more about that.

Cool.

From his part-out-ad:

*Pair black leather/alcantara OEM 2007 Evo IX Recaro's with MINI brackets, Recaro sliders and '05+ OC3 mat installed for proper airbag operation (should fit '02-08 R50/R53 models). Swap over your seatbelt receptacles and you're in business (or if you're local, I'll install the seats for you and swap the receptacles over to my stock seats).
