A Gift From MINI5280 For Participation
A Gift From MINI5280 For Participation
As you know I have been trying to get more participation from the general MINI5280 membership in club activities. Trying to stir the pot so to speak and get more people involved. To this end I am offering a little gift to each member that comes up with an activity, ride or event. To reward the efforts the club will present each organizer with a special, limited edition 50th Anniversary MINI coin direct from England.

To be eligible for this stunning keepsake you must come up with an idea, organize it and then write up an story for the newsletter. Don't let the write-up deter you, if you want you can jot down some notes, collect some photos and send them our way and we'll do the rest.

So organize an activity and get it published and you too can sport one of these limited edition coins on your mantel or desk.
Hurry, we have only 12 coins to give away!
Chuck
PS - The coin doesn't nearly weigh 5 pound so I don't know why they wrote such a blatant lie on it.

5 pounds
. Actually it looks like it should weigh a ton. It's almost as big as that Mini!
How about a garage day? Not as much fun as a drive, but a necessary part Mini ownership! Save a few bucks with a DIY, oil change, pads and rotors, trans oil, air fliter, etc. I understand some folks have these services included from Schomp, still, this might be something people would like to do. I volunteer my garage.

Well actually the classic Minis were quite a bit smaller then ours.
Garage day - I'm liking it. I've been holding off on an oil change till just before our MGTY drive and I'd love to see someone change brakes and fluid.

I have a pressure bleeder, we can flush the brakes, but I'm staying away from the clutch slave!! Don't ask me why!!
My garage isn't full service but we can try anything you guys are up for!

How about a day of driving and swimming. We could drive up to glenewood pool. SOak or swim in the hot tubs eat a late lunch and head back into town. Or we could all could go up and go through the caves up there. Or we could take a drive down to garden of the gods and cave of the winds. SOme driving and some sight seeing all in one. Just a few ideas..

Yes, no, yes, yes and yes (for the record swimming got the only no vote. If I'm swimming it's because my boat has sunk.) So make a plan, organize it, do it and write it up. I'll even help with the promotion and the club can provide swag. July is looking pretty empty right now.
Me too, and the only time I'm on a boat is when I can get off and walk!
