MINI run in stormy weather
MINI run in stormy weather
Some of my photos from clubMINI Victoria's annual Great Ocean Road run. The weather was terrible
- 50-60mph winds, torrential rain showers and cold. But it was still fun - and made for some (I think) dramatic photos

The only place I didn't take photos was on the Great Ocean Road itself! It's a classic drivers' road, narrow and twisty and hugging the ocean cliffs for miles - but it needs rather more concentration!!
Larger photos in my Gallery, and all the photos of the Run are on the club's Flickr page here (top right icon)

pw4,
Thanks for the great pictures of your stormy trip, glad all went well.
I had a stormy experience in my mini this past weekend. I drove 212 miles from Madison to Barron, WI 3:30PM - 7:30PM on Fri. Just south of Eau CLaire around 6:30PM ran through a huge T-Storm cell for about 10 minutes / 8 miles. Wind, hail, heavy rain, temps went from 82 to 52 degrees in those 10 minutes. What a ride, regrettably, was way too busy driving to take pictures... The mini stuck to the road like an ant on the windshield. Saw 3 cars in median or shoulder during the rain event. The entire trip was 424 miles and used 11 gallons of gas for a respectable 38.5MPG on I-94; = 7 hours of quality time in Capt'n Jack.
