Will a set of 6 H/K speakers from an '07 fit into my '03???

How bout the Amp?

Will it all still work?

- I'm pretty dumb when it comes to car audio so please speak in human words...

They're very different systems.

With loads and loads of work, it probably is possible to get it to work - but I wouldn't want to do it; certainly you'd plan a lot of car stripping wiring replacing, etc.

 

You could probably do the speakers if you solder them. I don't see why the amp wouldn't be the same, unless soldering on a wire connected to an amp blows it up or something...

 

Unless the '07 you're talking about is a convertible, it likely doesn't have a Harman/Kardon stereo. I think MINI went with another manufacturer for the upgraded stereo (HIFI) in the second-generation cars (2007+ for the coupe, 2009+ for the convertible).

If the 2007 *is* a convertible, then the amp should transfer into your '03 with minimal problems (you might have to fabricate a mounting bracket), but only the front speakers will transfer easily (convertible rears are a different size than coupe rears).

But if the 2007 in question is a second-gen car, then as Edge says, it's possible, but it's going to be prohibitively difficult & expensive.
