Questions about the tire sizes that'll fit on the MINI rims

Well I have the R84 rims (I believe) and the tire size is 195/55/16 and I was just wondering if a tire that's 205/50/16 would fit fine. I'm assuming it would but I wasn't sure. I really want to get a set of BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW tires. A buddy of mine has them and told me they preform very well in every aspect and on wet and dry pavement. So I think as long as they fit, I'll get them too. I trust his word since he know his in's and out's when it comes to cars. I haven't had the chance to get a hold of him to ask about the sizes and if they'd fit so I figured I'd ask on here. So let me know if anyone knows whether or not they'd fit.

Many sizes will "fit" the R84 wheel, but in my opinion the 205/50 is the best choice.

Alright thanks for the help. I figured the slightly smaller sidewall and width would be a good choice.

I had those tires on my '05 MCS and they get very loud as they get a few thousand miles on them. They are very nice tires, but I just couldn't handle how loud they got!

I had R84 wheels on Quentin and ran 205/50-16s, they work fine. There are plenty of other choices in tires, they're discussed endlessly in the Tires, wheels and brakes forum.

Had the same question a few days ago - I did a lot of research on this board, and determined that the 205/50/16 a solid choice.
I have the OEM tire size of 195/55/16 also and there are 4 brand new Kumho Ecsta 205/50/16s sitting by my front door right now. Bye bye runflats..
