Interior/Exterior How to remove aft side windows
How to remove aft side windows
Now...long story short is Im having CF aft side windows made this weekend and i need to know how to get the glass out. Obviously you have to cut them out but do i have to remove the entire upper and lower belt line to do so? I guess I could call a glass shop but I dont feel like it...
Yes...no one has ever done this before and it might look a little strange but it will be different. Plus, Im doing 5% on the windows to black them out more so it will blend in a little more. Plus I might do a design on them....who knows...

It's not a real easy job.
Yea, you need to remove the rain gutter and belt trim. The black trim on the front and back of the window stays on. You may have to pull away the door jam rubber also.
The window is just glued on, and this stuff IS TOUGH. I had some very strong stainless steel line that I used. You need to get the line in between the glass and the body and start sawing away. I think I broke this line about five times per window. You also need to be careful not to scratch the paint on the body below the belt line and the roof.
It's a labor intensive job that you just may want to get a quote from a glass guy to do. But if you have the desire, you can do it yourself.

Yea...so my thoughts were correct. No biggie. If I can build helicopters I can F* some Mini glass up!
Who knows if I will like this mod. I just want to do it and see where it goes. If I dont like it I will put PC in its place....Thread
