Calling all BMW MINI R90 genuine BBS split rim owners

Hi, if you own these lovely wheels mentioned above, could you please let me know the numbers on the wheel or anything to identify your MINI wheels to be originals please? Going to look at a set tomorrow that is supposed to be genuine. I don’t want to buy fakes (what I have) as these are a one piece wheel, where the genuine ones are two piece.

This is only because I want them to be refurbed in two different shades.

Please help!

The factory 16" R90s are one piece...the factory 17" R90s are two piece.

Which ones are you buying?...and what color? Silver, Anthracite, or Black? (edit) ...because each color will have a different number on the back of the wheel.

Oh right well they are 17inch and they are silver. They have been recently refrubed though. Thanks for your help so far

Another thing to check is that there should be a BBS stamp on the back of one of the crossspokes and the original bolt have BBS on the bolts as well.

Okay so not BBS on all four wheels? The bolts you are talking about are they the little ones going around the whole wheel?

It's hard to tell from the pics...are you able to look at them in person? If so, just reference the pics above from TSR.

Hi Vikki,
They appear to be the real deal. I have a set but mine are silver and anthrisite (sp).

Yea going to look at them tomorrow. They are used, recently refurbed. If I get them I want to refrub them to matt black in the middle with a shiny lip on the outside. Then I might get some black viper stripes. I love this site for inspiration on modding. How do I look for pics of red MINIs with these wheels and red MINIs with black vipers?

I have the reps on mine at the moment, heres a pic...

I want the genuine ones so I can have the two colors, as having the reps I can't have this as they are one piece.

Hard to tell from your pics, but take a look at TSR53 pics and make sure they have the BBS and MINI Germany on them.

I love BBS wheels and the R90s are no exception. Now I understand why they are so expensive.
