I'm toying with idea of pulling a small trailer with my MINI, so I can tote tools and such for work . Can any one who pulls one tell me where you got it and details about the trailer? I assume I need to keep it small, about the size of what you see motorcycles pull, although something slightly larger would be great. I know of one owner, Terry Sayther (sponsor) in Austin who pulls a teardrop shaped aluminum skinned trailer and I've emailed him. Just thought I'd check with ya'll for other options. I like the idea of the motorcycle type cause they are light weight and I can get fiberglass to some what match my paint. Concerns I have about the motorcycle type are small wheels and low clearance inside the trailer. I don't carry a lot, but I hate the idea of hard plastic tool cases and boxes scuffing the interior. Plus with a trailer I can keep the rear seat up and be able to pick the kids up from school without going home to unload.

Any help is much appreciated!

You might want to start by PM'ing Abe (Junkman here on MCO) about his hitch and what he tows: he makes a great little hitch and tows a trailer to autocrosses that can carry tools and tyres.

There are also places like this : http://www.quicksilvertrailers.com/ ... just to give you ideas ...

Thanks, I found Junker02 and junkers@gte.net but no Junkman under the Member List. Am I going about that incorrectly? I'll check out quicksilver in the mean time.

Did you find what you were looking for? I tow a 40" X 48" trailer I bought from harbor freight. They have a couple to chose from. I have a tool box and can carry 8 wheels and tires easily. You can email me at thejunkman@thurston.com for info on a hitch if you need one. I have make one for the S.

Abe
