R50/53 BUYING ADVICE REDUX- MY2004
I am a newbie to this forum and MC ownership. Well, truth be told, I haven't ordered the car yet. I am looking at a BRG/W MC with CVT and the SPORT package. I want the cruise, MFSW, AAC, OBC, leatherette upholstery, and also the rain -sensing wiper kit. I have a couple of questions:
1) Has anyone an opinion on the rain-sensing wiper kit? Is it worth it?
2) I heard the Sport steering wheel will be a different design from the cool 2-spoke. Any opinions?
3) The dealership, ROADSHOW MINI, wants $300 to put on racing stripes. Can I get it done cheaper?
4) does anyone know if the 2004 SPORT package comes with the rear fog lamp as a standard?
I know you have probably answered all these questions, and I am having a great time surfing the archives for all the great information and insight you all offer, but I'm getting behind at work now that I am spending all day reading this forum...
Thanks for any responses.

Welcome to MCO!!!
1) Having used this on the BMW's I am a die hard fan of them. I got tired of switching the wipers to change speed. Some people on here don't agree, but for 100 something bucks, I say they're worth it.
2)Don't know much about the sport wheel
3)I think you can get it done by a body shop much cheaper. Century MINI wanted $300 to tint my windows, and I went to the same vendor that tints the windows for them and got it for a 1/3 of the price. These are just more ways for the dealership to take money out of your pocket.
4) I don't believe this is standard in the sport, as I have the package and it did NOT come with the rear fog. I modified my brake lights to make sure the fog comes on when the pedal is pressed.
