Economics 101: You got stuff other people want, they got stuff you don’t even know you need. So let’s have a raffle!

This much anticipated celebration includes the presentation of the events for 2009, the introduction of the new Board of Directors, a captivating slide show, and dining and hoisting a few with your fellow MINIacs.

The main attraction will of course be THE RAFFLE, wherein members and corporate sponsors donate MINI related items. Raffle tickets will be hawked by relentless members assuring you that the more you buy, the more you win! All proceeds go to the non-profit organization known as PDX MINI to insure your social well being and driving enjoyment in the coming year. This is a win-win situation whereby you only bid on what you wish to win — so if you don’t want to take home a purple Barney sleep shirt, don’t donate it to the raffle.
Suggested appropriate donation items could include: Engine & suspension mods, car care products, maintenance items, MINI bling and apparel, perhaps a complimentary membership, event entry fee coupons, picnic baskets, comestibles (look it up), MINI appropriate luggage, GM stock options, employment referrals, fuel coupons, framed photos of PDX MINI events including member cars, customized road tunes CDs, an iPod shuffle, GMRS radios and other items that would be an appropriate prize for a fellow MINIac. Spinner hub cabs or nekked lady mud flaps will not be accepted.
