R50/53 help!! 18s or 17s

should I get 18s or 17s for my mini S ? and i want a fat lip for the rear rims, does anyone know the max offset ? -thanks

love the 18" wheel set but for everyday use I think you should go for the 215-45-17 (17x8 rim).

that what I think but what do I know hehehehehe

i agree...

I dont see the 18's looking the best, or ridding the best. I know the ride in a mini could get bumpy, and with 18's I would think its worse. Buy 17's, lower the car, and you have the same look.

I agree. 18s look very good but you would feel every bump. An extra inch in alloy won't look that different but you will tell the difference with an extra inch of tyre. Like my man from DC said, lower it and it would look just as good any way. Lowering with 18s would be difficult. The more important decision you have is the wheel it self. which wheel are you planning to get. post some pics!!!

Personally, forget going big and think about going light weight. (Ideal for me would be some 15x7 or 15x8, weighing 10lbs/ea.)

I went from 17 to 16 on my MCS and glad I did, lighter, better handling, better ride and quicker during the stumble :smile:
