Removing JCW door sills

Excuse the question if its out there (I did search for it- couldn't find it).

I have a new MCS 09 with a JCW Aero kit. Love the look, but every time I open the door, I see that JCW door sill looking back at me and dislike it.

Is it just stuck on there with an adhesive? Or is it bolted in? I'd like to remove it from my Mini.

Anyone know?

Thanks in advance.

Aesthetic Creations may have something of interest to replace the JCW units. If they are not illuminated, I think they are held in place with adhesive. You might check with the dealer parts department, they may know how the replacement parts are shipped.

I wouldn't do it. Depending on who painted it, the sill is adhesive backed. If you pull it up, you may pull up the paint. You'll need something to replace it as it hides about 4-5 plastic rivet holes.

They're just stuck on and will peel off.

I paid to get the JCW ones when I got the kit. (Stage 1 engine kit, that is)

Anyway - you can peel them off but you'll be left with a sticky depression in the door sill, so order some new ones before you do that. Vinyl to cover them might be cheaper and easier if you don't like any of the stock ones.
