If I buy the extended service maintenance contract, does that contract cover the replacement of a worn clutch? I've read conflicting information in searching on this topic.

 

I think you need to ask the specific dealer you are thinking of buying from. The packages differ from dealer to dealer. Clutch disk replacements should be treated the same as brake rotors and disks, again depending on the particular dealer. The devil is always in the details on these agreements...

 

In other words...an extended maintenance agreement or an extended warranty is USUALLY not with MINI, but a third party. So you need to read the contract carefully to see what is covered. My ONE experience with such a contract (long b4 MINI days) ended early when I discovered my first problem was not covered. Fortunately what I did find in the fine print was a get out of jail clause that allowed me to cancel and get a pro-rated refund.

When asked I tell folks "don't" .... now there will be posts here from folks who've had a good experience and all I'll say is find out who their provider was cuz not all owners are getting offered the same protection. As my 02 went out of warranty I was approached by several different companies all attempting to appear 'factory authorized"
