I know there is a software version and a map version. I know it says SW 4-1/30 in the settings window.

The confusion comes when I try to find out what I need to update my 2004 MC.

I am not very techno savvy and need help, please.

You need to either get a disc with the software on it, or download it and burn it onto a disc. Eject map disc, then insert the software disc and it will install itself.

mdsbrain had it hosted a while ago, but not sure if it still is.

 

Thanks. I thought I read that you can no longer get it from that thread.

Then, I was uncertain what to look for as far as which version to get.
