Koni FSD with 18x7.5 215x40
Hi guyz,
Currently my car fitted with 18x7.5 215x40 rims,
Just wondering if I fit FSD with H-sport spring/Eibach pro spring, will the tyre rub on my guard?
Last one week ago, I fetching two of my friends, when I pass the bump, my rear guard rub on the tire..
Thanks guy

Koni claims the FSDs do not work well with lowering springs in general, but many people HAVE reported on NAM that they are okay with drops of 1/2" or 3/4". I have FSDs with stock "sport" springs and use 7.5" wide tires on 17" rims with no difference from OEM position of the tire, relative to the body. I am not familiar with Eibachs, but for SOME CARS (I do not think for the MINI) Koni and Eibach have a "package deal" that includes both Eibach lowering springs (I don't know which model) and Koni FSDs together in a box. If you can find that kit available FOR THE MINI, then it should not be a problem, as it is "Koni-and-Eibac-endorsed". I don't know about H&Rs. I don't remember anyone writing about using H&Rs together with the FSDs. But from everything I've read, if they lower more than 3/4" the struts may get pounded, due to lack of sufficient travel; so they will not last as long as they "should."
FWIW, I do not understand the wheel and tire part of your question. Unless the rims have some extreme offset that is unusual, they should not behave any differently than any other setup. The tire diameter should not be too far different from other sizes. And 7.5" width is well within range to replace OEM tires. so I don't get the concern about the tires rubbing the "rear guard(?)". I don't know what you mean by the "rear guard".

Ah I see,
What I mean the rear guard is that my rear right tire guard. I'm not sure how to explain it but when my car with 2 to 3 passenger my tire will rub the rear right guard, so would like to find out if I install FSD with H-sport/Eibach Pro kit spring, will the tire rub that again?
Or when we fit the shock and lowering spring, do we need to take out something like the screw in on the guard or etc??
Thanks

I still don't know what you mean by "guard" bt I wil assume you mean the "fender" or "wheel well". If that is not correct, please let me know. But first, I have two other questions:
> Do you have stock -- or original equipment -- springs and struts (or shocks) now, or have you already modified them? If they are modified, what is the current setup?
> What is the make and model of the 18" wheel you have?
If you already have some aftermarket springs, and/or struts on the car, then it could be that a different brand (such as Koni FSD and Eibach) could help. Or, if your current 18" wheel has an offset that makes your track wider, so that the tire is closer to your "tire guard" than stock, only spacers (maybe) or a narrower tire (maybe) or a different wheel would help.
"2-3 friends" if they are good sized people, could make the car bottom out -- especially going over "bumps". This could be a problem that you have to put up with if you are not willing to change to different wheels or springs. The type of strut you use might not prevent the problem.

Do you call that black thing fender/guard? I'm not sure what to describe it.. :( Sorry...
Currently, my car is with stock springs and shock, never done any suspension before.
My rims is Rays Engineering (G-games 77F vaio) 42 offset
