brakes?

i was wondering if i bought a Detroit Tuned big brake kit for the front brakes, if i could move the mini's stock front rakes to the rear as they are bigger and slotted, or is this ill advised?

just clarification... do you mean vented, not slotted?
I don't know if that would work, but I'm quite interested in this idea

Uh, no. The rear brakes are totally different, and have a PARKING BRAKE built in...

If you want different or larger brakes in there rear, there ARE some options, though...
TCE sells a wilwood brake kit for the rear. They also sell larger rotors and caliper relocation brackets to adapt the OEM rear brakes.

In either case, it's mostly cosmetic... there is so little weight on the rear of a MINI when braking, the rear brakes don't do much work...

very well put

personally, i like the look of the ate and powerslots. but it's pretty much bling. i have no issues with the stockers at autocross or track events.....now the fronts....that's a totally different issue! good luck!
