Clear bra-yes/no? Dealer or no? In ATL

Mini on the way and am leaning towards clear bra. My current Mini has chips a many from my time on Atlanta's freeways. Dealer install? Or does anyone know of a reputable installer in the Atlanta area?

Thanks!

Dealers almost always use local installers and then tack on profit. Better to avoid having clearbra done at a dealer and go directly to a reputable installer.

Yes to getting it done. I had it put on my MINI before I had 10 miles on the car. I did a road trip to your neck of the woods (Buford/Braselton actually) and back & did not get a single rock chip. Also had an easier time washing off the bugs.

You might ask the dealer if they have a recommendation for a local installer, but as said, they rarely do the work themselves.

One issue to consider is that if you are putting them over stripes, there may be a gap at the edge of the stripe where moisture can get in. Others have reported this in threads in the Coupe Talk (2007+) forum.

My installer cuts the bra so the gap becomes a non-issue. The bra for the stripes becomes a separate piece. I also had him bra the bonnet sport stripe all the way to the windshield.

Just noticed, this is a duplicate thread started by the OP.

Maybe a mod can close one and merge them.

Clear Bra done in ATL

Mine was done by dealer (MoSA) as part of a deal, so price was ok. You might call MoSA and ask Amanda - she might tell you who does theirs- it's on top of my stripes and no problems so far...
