Warning: Bimmian lights

Whatever you do, don't use them for any constant on applications. Don't say I didn't warn you.

All 4 arch reflectors (smoked, after market) and my halo sidelights (aftermarket) are almost completely ruined and melted BROWN. Called Bimmian and their answer was "since the bulb is blue, it will get hotter - ps they are designed for the interior so that's why they melted". I also have some in my boot lights for the license plate and I asked if I should keep them in and he said they should be ok since there is a lot of clearance there..
Ok, this may be my fault, but they should not get so hot they will destroy parts. And the only reason they were on the exterior is because only 2 weeks after I had them on the inside of my car, the driver side footwell went out. That is when I panicked and opted for a return since they are notorious for melting. I had to take apart my bumper to get my halo lights out and then i had to take tweezers and literally poke pull and tug the bulbs out of the sockets because they melted themselves to the plastic. Some of them I didn't even get out in one piece. My arch reflectors' "mouth" where the bulb plugs in literally broke in half. And I am positive they had this problem in the past with PREVIOUS versions of these bulbs and kits. Stay away from this product all together I say, because the reason I put them on the outside of the car is because they do not match each other [Seriously].

The funniest and most ironic part about this is that it could have all been avoided if they just returned my product when I asked to back in August but since THEY did not receive my request email for a return (they even admitted to having computer and email problems), they said since they didn't receive it in the 45 day period they can't honor my return. Once again, I tried to return these within the grace window period but because they didn't get my numerous emails on time, they just said no. and when I asked why they said it's because of return processing fees so basically they didn't want to make a customer happy for a few dollars. Bad business, imo.

The bulbs may have something to do with it, but I would put more of the blame on low quality plastic in the aftermarket parts. Some have had their halos melt even with the supplied LED bulbs: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=153942

I ordered a set of the halos some time ago, and I thought they were such low quality and cheaply made that I returned them without installing. I did light them up to see how they looked, and the halos were also very dim (I tried a variety of bulbs).

I had my Bimmian license plate lights burn out. I can't get the warranty replacements because that portion of the site doesn't work. Calling them only led to an automated recording that told me to go to the website.

Ohh sorry to hear, arches not too expensive though and you can buy those w/o the light on arches (always thought they looked nice painted). Glad(BAD) to hear about the Bimmian lights though cause my liscence plate light is out and I need the arch lighting. Before I was alway worried about my Phillips 85watts clear bulbs in my highs and lows, packaging even warned me about possible housing overheating and putting a relay (fuse) in place. I checked them every single night and no probs after several months I only check them after extended night driving periods. (but not really worried as much)

This is what my corner lights look like, more or less.

And thanks for the input about PIAA. I am looking into their super yellow bulbs but after this happened I got hesitant.
Ps - my license plate bulb went out last week.
