Super-Fantastic Fall Foliage Drive & Poker Run

Wade's Super-Fantastic Fall Foliage Drive & Poker
Sunday, October 19, 2008
Arrive between 8:30 am and 8:45 am. Depart by 9 am. Lunch at 1 pm.

Location: Meet at Cooper Park near Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI at 87th & Chambers, then drive through the scenic Kettle Moraine area to enjoy the drive and the colors.

We are bringing back the Fall Foliage Drive & (Non-Alcoholic) Poker Run by popular request with a new, revised route, and virtually all right-hand turns! We will have a pre-drive meeting at Cooper Park, and then a 65-mile adventure including rustic roads in the Holy Hill area and the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive in the Lake Country area will follow. Afterwards, we will eat lunch in Delafield, WI at your choice of Wells Street Tavern or The Loaf & Jug. The drive includes a number of stops along the way where each driver collects a playing card. The driver with the best poker hand at the end of the drive wins!

Just like to say thanks to Wade and Theresa for the work involved in the Super-Fantastic Fall Foliage Drive & Poker run. the drive and all arrangements they provided were very nice. The weather was great, the foliage was spectacular and the drive was fantastic, as advertised. Nice job!!

I'd like to add my thanks, and say it was a whole lotta fun! Mini/MINI folks are a nice crowd to run with, and the route was a great combination of challenge, scenery and exhilaration. Pretty good way to have a first (for me) group run.

I went to my bank today, and one of the staffers asked if I was part of a Mini club "or something"... turns out he'd seen our group leaving the apple stand, and thought it was really cool. He said, "There must have been SIXTY of you guys!" Small cars, big impression.

Hope I can go along next time, too.
David

Definitely fun. Nice to get the MINI out and let it stretch its legs, it usually lives on the east side, so it was nice to get some curves and straightaways in for a day!

Great job as always Wade and Theresa! (And it was great to see the new kids)

Fantastic time, and great to see you folks again; I seem to be up in Milwaukee as often as with the Chicago clubs -- big thanks to Wade and Theresa
