94k mile service

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum but thought I'd ask a bunch of enthusiasts as yourself for advice. I live in Charleston and own a 2002 cooper S and have recently passed 94k miles in my beloved mini.

I bought it used about 2 years ago at about 70k miles, have done regular maintenance (oil & filters) on it myself, but have never taken it in for professional service (dealer or otherwise); quite fortunately it's never needed servicing! It's been very reliable, but it seems the gas mileage isn't what it could be (roughly 24mpg).

It's stock for the most part, meaning no real performance mods, but I'm considering upgrading to a K&N air filter then perhaps the cold air intake upgrade once I have some play money.

As I've recently passed 90k miles, I'm thinking it's time for a dealer service (or equal). I haven't found an official list of items serviced/replaced at 90k miles; so I thought I'd ask here what I should ask for. Past experience with dealer service (other cars) tells me they will sell you all you can afford (and more), regardless what your car really needs.

Things I'm considering asking for:

- check belts; replace as needed
- new transmission fluid
- new brake fluid; check pads/rotors for wear
- check air filter (i'll replace with K&N as mentioned above)
- check/replace fuel filter
- check spark plugs
- check tires/alignment
- check/replace O2 sensor (heard this may improve fuel efficiency?)

and I see there's general approval of the Mini of Charleston service dept.? any recommended local private mechanics for minis?

I'll appreciate any advice/support.

thanks,
Brian
