Pulled up to the Pizza Parlor tonight and parked a couple of cars away from a 2003 Red Corvette. As I got out of the Mini the first thing I heard from a family was Wow look at the Vette. A second later, I heard them say, Wow look at the Red Mini- Much cooler Car!!

All this cool for 1/2 the Price.

Ya gotta love it

1marvel-- If the vette were to cost no more than the Mini, I'd still go for the Mini. The karma is sooooooooo much better. The Mini is cool w/o trying to intimidate. God speed.

 

I had a similar experience at a pizza parlor. I parked in front of the windows to pickup the piaaz and I swear everyone in that place turned and starred. I went in got the pizza (no one asked about the car) and when I came out the pizza delivery people were saying how cool "that" car was. Nice experience, and the best part--nice hot pizza when I got home.

 

I've had a couple experiences in the last couple days where people approached me to ask how I liked my car. It's been great (though the guy who came up behind me a the post office was a bit unsettling since I was alone and struggling with a package).

I didn't buy the car to get people's attention. I bought it because it's such great fun to drive. The really funny part is that the red corvette at the pizza place is all about being seen and the little MINI stole that guy's thunder right away.
