Key Fobs Not Working

I have a 07 MCS and now both of the key fobs are not locking or unlocking the doors. I purchased the car about a month ago. At first I thought that my battery was not being recharged and was dead so I tried my other set of keys and they to are not unlocking or locking the doors.

I drive about 100 km a day so the battery should be getting charged while driving.

I am not sure what the problem is or how to fix it.

Do you have the Comfort Access Package? If so, the battery doesn't get charged when it's in the ignition slot, as far as I know, and what I've read in my manual. If that's the case, then the battery needs to be replaced. Hope this helps!

no I don't have comfort access, but thanks for the info, I was wondering how to take the fob apart like it showed in the manual, now it makes sense.

I am having a "summa-time" problem with the CA on my 09 MCCS; some of the time I can lock/unlock & start with the fob on my person; other times not.
Does anyone know WHERE the reciever for CA is located?

For the non-CA cars; it has been reported to be inside the rearview mirror, would expect the same for CA.

There are numerous sensor for all cars with fobs.

The one i remeber off the top of my head are as follows:

b-pillar each side
rear bumper
center console near start buton
center console near hand brake or is it the back seat (could be seat on coop and console in clubman)

There may be one more as well but i am not sure where.

When i get back to a computer that has my wiring digrams info i can get back to you on it.
