Just park the mini and put the tent up next to it. At least you wont have a tent scratching the car 
I don't think the mini is that useful for this tent scenario. Probably get more use if the tent was separate from the car.
I went to a sailing regatta once, I brought a 6 person tent, table, chairs, torches, inflatable bed, sleeping bag, pillow, food, eski, sailing gear, bag of extra clothes, candles, box of tools, two spare sails, and the boat (18 foot long) on a trailer. I (and everyone else) was shocked at how much i could carry in this MC. Tetris pays off.
